Overview
In Spanish bilingual and dual language classrooms, paired texts offer convenient and fun resources to learn about genre differences and practice comparing and contrasting. Each set has a fiction story–a fairy-tale, traditional tale, or story about a relatable childhood moment–paired with one or more nonfiction books based on similar topics. Young readers delight in captivating stories and are fascinated as they expand their real-world knowledge with nonfiction. There are four paired sets: Lecturitas, Fбbulas y el Mundo Real, Mundo de los Cuentos Mundo Real, and Zoozoo En la Selva.
