Fables & the Real World is a intriguing series of 30 fables, paired with 90 informational texts. Each unique, beautifully illustrated fable is paired with three related, corresponding informational texts, which connect to the real-life elements of the fable.

Fables in this series expose students to a fictional text type, in which vibrant artwork on every page helps teachers educate students on important lessons and morals. Informational texts in this series are great tools to enrich content area curriculum, and nonfiction text features are great ways to help students access tables of contents, glossaries, and indexes. The series includes 120 leveled readers in total, 40 of which are available as big books.

Fables & the Real World is a unique series that pairs each of thirty fables with three nonfiction books for a total of 120 titles (30 fiction and 90 nonfiction). This series is an easy and engaging way for emergent readers to begin comparing and contrasting fiction and nonfiction texts.

Fable titles feature classic stories from different cultures and backgrounds. Retold for K–2 classrooms and using beautiful artwork, these fiction stories introduce SEL themes to young learners.

Nonfiction titles offer a range of unique topics packed with real-world knowledge. These informational texts help young learners to develop their analytical skills and include key nonfiction text features (TOC, glossary, index, etc.).
